CIALCA
Documenting a decade of agricultural research for development across Central Africa.
Taskscape produced web-documentary-style films for CIALCA, a research consortium working to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Africa through science.
Brief
CIALCA (Consortium for Improving Agriculture-based Livelihoods in Central Africa) is a partnership between three international research centres (TSBFI/CIAT, IITA and Bioversity International) funded by the Belgian Development Cooperation. Operating across ten mandate areas in the DRC, Rwanda and Burundi, CIALCA conducts research for development in close cooperation with farmer associations, working to improve livelihoods through science-based approaches to crop production and farming systems. Taskscape was contracted by CIALCA leadership to illustrate the consortium’s work and impact.
