Taskscape produced a short promotional film for Legume Technology, a UK microbiology firm behind LegumeFix, a soil inoculant designed to trigger nitrogen fixation, with a focus on improving localisation and accessibility for farmers in sub-Saharan Africa.
Brief
Legume Technology is a Nottinghamshire-based microbiology firm whose LegumeFix product helps trigger nitrogen fixation in soils lacking the necessary bacteria. Promoting nitrogen fixation is being explored around the world as a ‘nature-based’ solution to reducing chemical inputs that degrade agroecosystems, while supporting yields. The inoculant was successfully used in projects in the Global South, where improved nitrogen fixation can especially benefit the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. Taskscape was contracted to produce a standalone film about LegumeFix and its applications.
