Brief
Rydal Hall is the Diocese of Carlisle’s retreat and conference centre, set in extensive grounds opposite Rydal Water in the Lake District. Taskscape was contracted by the diocesan secretary and the board of finance to help the executive team improve the centre’s internal and external communications, marketing, team dynamics and operational efficiency.
Activity
- Conducted a cultural audit through interviews and analysis with staff and governance
- Delivered reports and presentations to the board of finance and staff teams
Outcomes
- Gave the board and staff a more granular overview of the challenges and opportunities in running the centre
- Helped workshop new ideas, informing the reworking of Rydal Hall’s ongoing viability, value offer and operations
